Welcome to Archery GB
Within the pages of our website you will discover some useful and general information about archery in Great Britain and Northern Ireland.
If you are an established member of the archery community, there are some useful documents available to view or download, all of which could have information beneficial to you or your club.
If you are a new member of our organisation, or a first time visitor looking for some general information about our sport, then we offer you a warm welcome.
Archery is not just an historic sport and pastime, it is also the ultimate family sport - where men, women and juniors from all sections of the community can participate together. But whether you want to take up the sport for fun, or if you aspire to compete at the highest level one day, you will find that archery caters for everyone.
There are also countless opportunities to become involved in other areas of the sport, be it as an administrator, a coach, or a judge, and many of our judges have gone on to represent Great Britain at international events all over the world, including the Olympic games.
Hopefully you will find what you are looking for, but if you don’t, then please feel free to call us at our Lilleshall headquarters, where someone will be happy to help and advise you.
Archery GB now has a membership that has passed thirty thousand for the first time. Our beginners courses all around the country are regularly booked up well in advance, and we welcome all new interest.
We have 1100 + clubs throughout Great Britain and Northern Ireland, with regular shoots held all over the country, welcoming archers of all levels.
And we are proud of our elite archers, the ones who represent Archery GB at international events, such as the Olympics, the Paralympics, the FITA World Cup tournaments, and the World Championships.
At the Paralympics in Beijing, Danielle Brown and John Stubbs both won gold medals, John Cavanagh a silver, and Mel Clarke a bronze. At the Beijing Olympic Games our Ladies team achieved fourth place and in 2008 Nichola Simpson was a silver medallist at the World Cup Grand Final.
